IP Summer Design Camp

Join our Summer Design Camp! Our Summer Design Camp offers a transformative 4 - week intensive experience for Black, Brown and underrepresented middle & high school students! This summer, we are focusing on essential design concepts and practical - design based learning to enhance their portfolios and unlock their creative potential! More details are located below!

Program Details:

Program: IP Summer Design Camp

When: July 1 - July 31, 2024

What: Students will have many opportunities to build their portfolios, receive direct feedback and training from seasoned Designers in various industries, and go on tons of field trips to gain direct access to professional design communities! Both students with design experience and little to no direct design experience are encouraged to apply! Food will be provided during the duration of the program! At the end of the program, students will receive stipends upon completion.

IP Fashion Design Workshop: Sketching

Do you have an interest in fashion? Join us for a fun fashion workshop, no experience required! Students will learn the basics of sketching & receive direct feedback from professionals in the industry!

Inneract Project workshops are designed to help students foster their creativity and explore design in their own homes or communities. It also supports students with self discovery, confidence, and reassurance from the community.

About the Creatives:

Joining us will be Aileena and Alem!

Aileena is an all around creative, full time artist, specializing in nail art. She is also a painter, sculptor, and creative director, who is beginning a journey into tattooing as well. She has a salon / private studio space in Oakland, Ca called Art Beauty & Soul!

Alem is a well rounded creative here in the Bay Area with talents in modeling, styling, creative directing, and painting. She enjoys servicing other creatives and putting together collaborative projects that continue to bring visibility to the lenses in which we see the world.

What: In this workshop, students will learn the basics of sketching in the fashion design workshop series. Joining us will be Ariel Mei! Ariel is a fashion stylist and creative, servicing all throughout the Bay Area. Ariel provides fashion advice; choosing and coordinating outfits for models in photo shoots or actors in television and film; and choosing props and accessories and preparing them for shoots. Ariel aspires to be a resources for young creatives all over and give back knowledge through her experience.

Black College Expo / Meet & Greet #1

Join us as we tour the Black College Expo and celebrate the first Meet and Greet of the year! In the Black College Expo, students have the opportunity to get on the spot acceptance from universities, scholarships, and so much more! After the expo, we will have food, raffles & prizes, games, and fun surprises! We are excited for you all to join us, details located below.

Event Details:

Students are encourages to bring a writing utensil, notepad, unofficial transcripts, and portfolio (if applicable)

The College Expo itself will be held from 10 am - 5pm, but Inneract Project will host the Meet and Greet event separately while the expo is still going on. All ages are encouraged to attend!

In partnership with Apple , on Day 1 students will participate in a Learning Lab. Their designs will be presented at Apple in front of designers and their families

Learning Labs are one -day workshops serve as an interactive way to explore many facets of design. Learning labs are short, yet provide snippets of education from youth interested in learning more about design.

About the Event:

Apple is hosting IP for both a Learning Lab on July 12! The Learning Lab will take place from 10am - 3:30pm at the Apple Headquarters. Transportation will be provided for both days.
