Video Game Academy, a four-week session during which students will learn to use game development software, create their own games, play/test and iterate, then release their games on major video game marketplaces. The first phase of this program will start with training, experimentation and understanding the fundamentals of game design and development. The second phase of this program will include more advanced training resulting in a game that can be released, promoted, and monetized. Future classes in the series will focus on specific disciplines within the video game industry and industry-standard tools, allowing students to navigate the path to a professional career in the video game industry.
Led by a senior game designer with more than ten years of industry experience at companies such as Electronic Arts and Ubisoft, students will get an introduction to the tools, techniques, and community that will help them get started on the path to producing their own video games.
