From July 1 - 31, 2024, students learn design basics, create portfolios, and go on field trips. All classes take place in the Bay Area, CA.

  • Inneract Project's summer design camp offers a transformative 4-week intensive experience for Black and Brown middle and high school students, focusing on essential design concepts and practical project-based learning to enhance their portfolios and unlock their creative potential.

  • Upon registering on our website, accepted applicants are required to commit to the full duration of the camp. Upon acceptance, applicants will receive subsequent instructions and be invited to a Q&A session for ALL attendees (including parents and guardians). Applicants on the waiting list will be notified of available spots as they arise.

  • Eligible participants for this year’s camp include students who are rising middle school - current high school / recent high school graduates identified as Black, Latinx, or from marginalized descent.

  • There is no cost to participate in the Summer Design Camp or submit any deposit!

  • College professors, students and professional designers from Google, Apple, Microsoft, and more.


Curriculum Overview

Catch a glimpse of the topics covered over four weeks of instruction

Week — 1

  • Students will learn basic core fundamentals. Daily exercises will cover compositions, color theory, and typography. All will have an emphasis on practicing hard and soft skills.

Week — 2

  • Students learn about different design disciplines, such as Graphic design, UX/UI, 3D, AI, and more.

Week — 3

  • For week 3, students will put there ideas into practice, using what they learned in the previous weeks, focusing on one personal project for the entire week.

Week — 4

  • In the final work week, students will be given a “Client project” for which they have to solve for someone or something they have little knowledge about. The goal is to utilize research and understand to deliver a successful design that communication or solves something for the client.
